Friday 17th June, this is the end of my Master "Biodiversity Ecology Evolution" in Montpellier !
Very good impressions at the end, namely on my Master 2's research internship, about the evolutionary radiation of the Myotis bats (i.e. relationships, biogeographic and temporal origins), under the supervision of Emmanuel Douzery (University of Montpellier 2) and Manuel Ruedi (Museum of Geneva).
The time has come for me now to enjoy some holidays before starting a new adventure !
Indeed, at the beginning of September, I will start a phD between Germany and Panama !!!
I will join the doctoral school International Max Planck Research School for Organismal Biology. My welcoming structures will be the Max Planck Institute for Ornithology (MPIO, Radolfzell, Germany) and the Smithsonian Tropical Research Centre (STRI, Gamboa, Panama). I will be supersived by Dina Dechmann (MPIO) and advised by Kamran Safi (MPIO) and Arne Ludwig (IZW, Berlin, Germany). My study will concern the evolution of sociality in bats, more precisely the fitness consequences of social foraging. My model of study will be Molossus molossus (Family Molossidae), species studied for several years by the scientists of the Max Planck Institute for Ornithology.
I will post news on this blog for you to follow me in this adventure !
