With the help of my assistant Marion, the plan is to catch bats of the species Molossus molossus
- my PhD model species - to measure them and equip them with small chips (PIT tags).
Allowing for individual identification, I will use them to monitor bat
activity and foraging success using automated portals placed at the roost entrances.
The first week has been very successfull with 5 catching nights at different roosts.
We caught many Molossus molossus but also some other species
like the Myotis nigricans that is roosting in the same locations
and some other Phyllostomid bats, Carollia perspicillata and Glossophaga soricina.

During these 3 months, I will post more photos of my discoveries :).
